Will GTA 6 have cheat codes?
Very likely yes for single-player, no for GTA Online 2. Every mainline GTA since GTA III has shipped with cheats, and Rockstar has explicitly kept them out of online modes to prevent economy abuse. Expect the same split in GTA 6.
How Rockstar typically distributes cheats
In GTA V, cheats were controller button combos plus phone-number cheats (dial a number in Franklin/Michael/Trevor's cellphone). Rockstar drip-fed them over the first 3 months. GTA 6 will almost certainly follow the same phone-based system.
Cheat categories to expect at launch
Based on the last four GTA games, expect at minimum:
- Weapons loadouts (multiple variants)
- Health / armor / infinite ammo
- Wanted-level manipulation (raise, lower, clear)
- Weather control
- Vehicle spawns (each vehicle class)
- Character abilities (super jump, slow-mo aim, etc.)
- Character-swap or costume codes
Do cheats disable trophies/achievements?
Yes — in GTA V, using any cheat during a play session disables trophies until you reload. GTA 6 will almost certainly follow the same rule. Cheats also disable Rockstar Social Club stat tracking.
